We survived the flight!

We survived the flight!

It kind of started off a little different than I had planned.  My computer had to have

a program downloaded on it, which I did at home, and then I thought it was ready.

It was not …  it had to be registered on line and … no on-line.  Not exactly how I planned it.

Monday ….

So now, here I am typing this in note pad (fun!).  Oh well it will have to do.  This is really a long flight from Detroit to Tokyo then a two hour wait and then off to Manila.  I think I snoozed a little cause my neck aches.  Manila is exactly twelve hours opposite Ohio.  Other side of the Earth.  I do believe we will be pretty messed up when we get there.  It may take a day to recoup.

One of the things I am really looking forward to do on this trip is meeting Herman.  He is the one who called us ten years ago and asked Chris if he could come and start training youth leaders in his area. After ten years Herman is still volunteering for the cause of training leaders of youth. Wow, what a rock of faith and dedication.  Not only is he still involved, but he is heading up and presenting our celebration of being in the Philippines for ten years!  I am wondering what his words will be?  How will he see GYMN after witnessing ten years of its progress in his area?

I will let you know when I find out!  Will it be good news?  Did we hold up strong and pushing forward?  I thank God that I get to be part of the vision here at Global Youth Ministry Network!

I pray That every word that comes out of my mouth leads to the advancment of Jesus’ kingdom across Asia. The spiritual ground here is fertile.  I just read this morning about the statement Jesus said while sending out the 72.  The harvest is ripe but the labourers are few.  Wow is it just me or do we have the same issue now …. 2000 years later?  Do we really get it?  It takes LEADERS that are TRAINED to be sent out!  YOU can make that happen even if you can not volunteer your time and life to go around Asia and train.  Churches everywhere are calling out for training!  You can make that happen with your monthly contributions and prayer.  Do we have it all down yet as a church?  No, but then we can not quit trying to get there either.  If you support GYMN, if you sponsor me, I will do everything in my power to see to it your support gets the job done.  We build the leaders of the church for today and tomorrow.   May God be so gracious to you for following and serving with GYMN.
